I was able to catch up enough with other work yesterday to catalog 39 physical items. I am getting behind on shelving newly cataloged items, however. Several shelves of items are ready to move. Maybe next week my leg will be well enough to do some much overdue reorganizing of our in-house collection and also shelve the many new materials.
If and when we receive several pallets of boxes from our video archives as I have been hoping for several months, I will have to schedule significant cataloging time each day to keep up with the process. I have been reminding our department that there are thousands of video archive items yet to catalog and new ones created every day.
A potential trip to the archive is scheduled for early September. As things now stand, it seems likely that I will get there before any shipment arrives here.
